At Vidya, the body and breath are seen as powerful tools to transform the mind.
Ana Pinheiro, an architect by training, developed an interest in the balance between physical and mental health from a young age, through the practice of Yoga. She has been a teacher at Vidya since 2021 and has been directing the school – founded in 2001 by Alexandra Pereira – since 2025, always focusing on the quality of life of the practitioners.
A student at Vidya-Academia de Yoga since 2013, she trained as a Hatha Yoga instructor and Yoga teacher with AIPYS (International Sananda Yoga Teachers Association), totaling 500 hours of training.
Her training was carried out with Gauri Agulla and Wes Eckhardt of YFI (Yoga Formación Institute - Madrid) and with Madhana Agulla, founder of the Centro Yoga Sananda in Vigo.
In parallel, she attended Iyengar Yoga intensives and seminars with Ramón Clares, and meditation and mindfulness at the Centro Yoga Sananda. She also developed an interest in Pilates and therapeutic Yoga.
